There’s nothing sweeter than carrying a bit of handmade charm with you. This crochet flower keychain is quick to make, cheerful to use and perfect for gifting.

Instructions:
This pattern is written in US English terms and worked in continuous rounds.
Materials needed:
- DK weight cotton yarn in main colour, yellow and green.
- 3 mm crochet hook.
- Polyester Fibrefill.
- Yarn needle, stitch markers and scissors.
- Optional – Key rings, jump rings, pliers and charms (for making a keychains).

Stitches/Abbreviations:
R – round/row.
Ch – chain.
St(s) – stitch(es).
Sc – single crochet.
Hdc – half double crochet.
Dc – double crochet.
Trc – triple/treble crochet.
Inc – increase.
Picot – ch 2, sl st in second chain from hook.
Sl st – slip stitch.
[…] – repeat the instructions given in between the brackets.
(…) – total number of stitches.

Flower center (make 2):
Using yellow yarn,
R1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6).
R2: Inc in each st (12).
R3: [ Sc, inc ] x 6 (18).
R4: [ Sc, inc, sc ] x 6 (24).
R5: Sc in each st (24).
Fasten off invisibly and weave in the ends

Petals:
Place the yellow circles together with right sides facing out. We are going to work the petals through both loops of the two flower center.
Join main colour yarn into both loops of the circles using a sl st and,
[ Ch 1, (hdc, dc, trc) in next st, trc 3 times in next st, (trc, dc, hdc) in next st, ch 1 and sl st in next st ] x 6.
Start stuffing the circle when you are more than three fourths done and continue to work till the end.

Leaf:
Using green yarn, Ch 9.
Starting in the second chain from the hook,
Sc, hdc, dc 4, hdc, (sc, p, sc) in last chain.
Continue to work on the other side of the chain,
hdc, dc 4, hdc, sc, ch 1 and sl st to the first stitch.
Fasten off, weave in the remaining yarn.
Alternatively, you can leave a long tail to sew the leaf to the flower if you prefer.

Assembling the flower keychain:
- Using pliers, open three jump rings.
- Attach one to the base of the leaf.
- Attach another between the two petals of the flower.
- Attach the last one to a tassel or charm (optional).
- Attach the keychain ring to the jump ring on the flower and close it using pliers.
- Attach the jump ring on the leaf to ane of the links of the keychain.
- In the same way, attach the the charm/tassel to another link of the keychain.

And your pretty flower keychain is all done!
