Hello December! The much-awaited time of the year is here! I’m pretty sure you all are busy shopping for gifts or making one if you are a crafter like me.
Today, I’m here with a cute Christmas-themed Amigurumi Yeti pattern for you guys to make.

Instructions:
Amigurumi Yeti pattern is written in US English terms and worked in continuous rounds unless stated otherwise.
Materials needed:
- Worsted weight acrylic yarn in white, turquoise, red, and beige colour.
- Fluffy/eyelash yarn in white colour.
- 5 mm crochet hook.
- Fiberfill for stuffing.
- 10 mm flat back/safety eyes.
- Black embroidery thread and needle.
- Yarn needle, stitch markers, and scissors.
- Small white pom pom.
- A small amount of pink felt
Stitches/ Abbreviations
- MR – magic ring.
- R – round/ row.
- Ch – chain.
- St(s) – stitch(es).
- Sc – single crochet.
- Inc – increase (2sc in one st).
- Dec – decrease (sc 2 st together).
- Sl st – slip stitch.
- […] – repeat the instructions given in between the bracket.
- (…) – total number of stitches.
Pattern instructions:
Arms (make 2):
Using white yarn,
R1: 6 sc in magic ring (6).
R2: [Inc] x 6 (12).
R3-10: Sc in each st – 8 rounds (12).
Stuff a little and sc through both the top layers to close.
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Horn (make 2):
Using beige yarn,
R1: 4 sc in magic ring (4).
R2: [Sc, inc] x 2 (6).
R3: [Sc, inc] x 3 (9).
R4: Sc in each st (9).
R5: [Sc 2, inc] x 3 (12).
Stuff the horn and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Yeti face:
Using turquoise yarn,
R1: Ch 10. Starting from 2nd chain on hook, sc 8, 3 sc in last st. Continue to work on the other side of the chain and sc 7, inc in last st (20).
R2: Inc, sc 7, [inc] x 3, sc 7, [inc] x 2 (26).
R3: Sc, inc, sc 7, [sc, inc] x 3, sc 7, [sc, inc] x 2 (32).
Fasten off using invisible technique making sure you leave a long tail for sewing.
Insert 10mm flatback/ safety eyes on the 3sc space made on R1 on each sides. Distance between the eyes is 7 stitches. Cut off the excess stem at the back if using safety eyes.
Embroider a smile using black thread.
Cut two small round shapes in pink colour felt for blush and glue it below the eyes.
Legs (make 2):
Using white yarn,
R1: 7 sc in magic ring (7).
R2: [Inc] x 7 (14).
R3-5: Sc in each st – 3 rounds (14).
Fasten off the first leg but don’t cut off the yarn in second one. Stuff the legs and continue to body part.
Head and body:
R6: With the second leg, chain 3, join to the first leg and sc around the first leg (14 sts), sc in the 3 chains (3 sts), sc around the second leg (14 sts) and sc in the other side of 3 chains (3 sts). (34 sts in total).
R7: [Sc 14, inc x 3] x 2 (40).
R8-24: Sc in each st – 17 rounds (40).
R25: Sc 3, [sc 2, dec] x 3, sc 8, [sc 2, dec] x 3, sc 5 (34).
R26: Sc 4, [sc, dec] x 3, sc 8, [dec, sc] x 3, sc 4 (28).
Stuff firmly and continue to stuff till the end.
R27: Sc 4, [dec] x 3, sc 8, [dec] x 3, sc 4 (22).
R28: [dec x 5, sc] x 2 (12).
R29: [dec] x 6 (6).
Fasten off and leave a long tail. Using tapestry needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches. Pull tight to close the hole and weave in the yarn tail.
Hat:
Using red yarn,
R1: 4 sc in a magic ring (4).
R2: [Sc, inc] x 2 (6).
R3: [Sc, inc] x 3 (9).
R4: [Sc 2, inc] x 3 (12).
R5: [Sc 3, inc] x 3 (15).
R6: [Sc 4, inc] x 3 (18).
R7: [Sc 2, inc] x 6 (24).
Switch to fluffy white yarn,
R8: Sc in each st (24).
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Glue a small white pom pom to the top of the hat.
Assembling:
Sew the face to the head part between R7-R12 from the top.
Attach the arms between R11- R12, about two stitches away from the face on both sides.
Sew the horn on both sides between R4-R6 from the top.
Fill the hat with fiberfill and attach the hat to the top of yeti’s head using white yarn.
And your Amigurumi Yeti is now done!
