Happy new year friends! How is 2024 treating you so far? I’m kind of taking things slow this year. Happy to be back posting after a long time. Since Valentine’s day is fast approaching, I’m here with a super quick and easy Valentine cookie amigurumi pattern. Read below for instructiions.

Instructions:
This pattern is written in US English terms and worked in continuous rounds unless stated otherwise.
Stitches/ Abbreviations
- R – round/ row.
- ch – chain.
- st(s) – stitch(es).
- sc – single crochet.
- dc – double crochet.
- Hdc – half double crochet.
- inc – increase (2sc in one st).
- dec – decrease (sc 2 st together).
- sl st – slip stitch.
- […] – repeat the instructions given in between the brackets.
- (…) – total number of stitches.
Materials needed:
- Medium worsted weight yarn in main colour, a contrasting colour and tan.
- 3.5 mm crochet hook.
- Fiber fill for stuffing.
- Tapestry needle.
Cookie:
Start with main colour.
R1: 8 sc in a magic ring (8).
R2: Inc x 8 (16).
R3: [ Sc, inc ] x 8 (24).
R4: [ Sc, inc, sc ] x 8 (32).
R5: [ Sc 3, inc ] x 8 (40).
R6: [ Sc 2, inc, sc 2 ] x 8 (48).
Fasten off invisibly.
Switch to tan colour,
R7-9: Sc in each st (48).
R10: [ Sc 2, dec, sc 2 ] x 8 (40).
R11: [ Sc 3, dec ] x 8 (32).
R12: [ Sc, dec, sc ] x 8 (24).
R13: [ Sc, dec ] x 8 (16).
R14: Dec x 8 (8).
Fasten off and leave a long tail. Weave the yarn tail through the front loops of the remaining 8 stitches. Pull tight to close the hole and weave in the yarn tail.
Heart (contrasting colour):
In a magic ring,
[ ch 2, dc 2, hdc 2, dc, hdc 2, dc 2, ch 2 and slip st into the magic ring ].
Close the ring and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the heart to the centre of the cookie.
You can also glue the heart to the cookie if you don’t like sewing.
And your cookie is now done!
